Ellery Beach House
Since it is not too long until the baby arrives we wanted to start exploring SPA’s closer to home (Stockholm). Our friend’s birthday was coming up so we decided to suprise him with a Monday getaway to Ellery Beach House.
I have been wanting to visit Ellery Beach House for a while. It is made by the same people who have designed and runs Steam Hotel that we visited last fall. Ellery Beach House is located in Stockholm, only about 15-20 minutes drive away from the city center, which felt more safe IF the baby would choose to come earlier. It is at a very conveniet distance from Stockholm.
Ellery Beach House launch a Christmas gift promotion giving about 40% discount on their golden ticket package which included unlimited access to the SPA, so you can use it both on arrival and departure. It also included 3-course dinner and breakfast along with a stay in their smallest room. We however chose to upgrade to a bigger room when booking since it wasn’t too expensive. We went on a Monday which was good since it wasn’t too many people their.
We had check in at 2 PM (14:00) and due to Corona restriction we had dinner at 5:15 PM (17:15) which was a little early for my liking. In the original package the dinner would’ve been between 7-8 PM (19-20:00) wich would have given us plenty of time to hang out in the SPA. Since we was there a Monday the SPA was not too crowded which I really liked.
The SPA had a indoor pool with relax beds (where we spent most of the time). They also had two heated outdoor pools, one with a sauna (we did not try the sauna). Their Coco Beach Club lounge was really nice and cozy with plenty of good drinks. They also had a relax room with a fire place in the middle where you could hang out, play board games and order some food. I really like that all relax beds had a little button to call for service so you didn’t have to get up. The only thing I would have liked was for it to be a little bit warmer in the outdoor pool as well as in the indoor spaces, but that is my preference.
After the SPA we hade an amazing three course dinner. The food was delicious and we all really enjoyed our food. The service was great.
Breakfast the following day came served on a plate, hopefully the breakfast would be improved after Corona is done. The breakfast was too little and not too exciting. The taste and service was good, but I really enjoy a larger breakfast when I stay at hotels.
Review Summary:
Rooms: 5/5
We stayed in a De Luxe room which had the largest most comfy bed ever. The only negative note I have is the half see through door to the bathroom which was not sound proof.
Service: 5/5
The service was very good from the second we arrived. At check in we were offered coffe, the people in the SPA was very helpfull and the staff in the bar and restaurant was really good at service. Since we were 5 people and the maximum amount of people per table they had to split our party in two, but they arranged for us to have tables next to eachother.
Bed: 5/5
HUGE comfy bed, great pillows!

The SPA had eveyrthing one could ask for. I would have liked the temperature to be a little higher.

Extra points for outstanding things: 1
The beds… they are just amazing!
Tips and tricks: Try to go when they offer discounted packages to get great deals. I can’t wait to go back after Corona restrictions is over. I would also request late check out (original check out is 10 AM) since you do want to stay a little longer in their bed,
Total 20/20 which means that this place is definitely worth a visit.
