Grand Hotel Kempinski Vilnius

Last weekend we were invited to Vilnius to my old classmate’s wedding. I’ve never been to Lithuania or Vilnius so this would be a great opportunity to try their hotels there.

Kempinski is a old hotel chain which instatly makes you think of luxury, and this hotel did not disappoint. We arrive at noon and was greeted at the check-in counter with fresh towels and a glas of prosecco. The staff was very helpful and serviceminded, no request seemed to large or uncomfortable.

The rooms was well sized and the bed was soft like heaven. You really sank into it. We stayed in a signature room which is in the mid-bracke of rooms, but it came with all the ameneties one could want. Nespresso machine, water and chocolate by the bed, and a huge bonus free shoe-shine service. I also managed to book two single beds for the room and requested a double bed, and when we arrived it was already sorted.

The hotel also houses a great wine bar, coffee shop, upscale restaurant Called Telegrafs (the hotel used to be an old telegraf building), a nice SPA and a Gym. We tried all of them (You can read a review of the restaurant here). The SPA had twq saunas one dry and one steam, a fairly large pool and a jacuzzi. We were there on Thursday afternoon and it was not croweded at all. Huge plus is that you can enjoy prosecco and food in there.

The breakfast buffe was great, with huge selection of different styles of eggs to order, a great assortment of caviar and home made energizing shots served at the table.
