Loeb Boathouse
Do you want to feel like a part of New York’s elite pretending to be a pure upper east sider? There is one place where they gather after a night out for a hair of the dog, but in a classy way, so in the form of a Bellini or Bloody Mary. Met by a peculiar mix of tourists, family parties, well dressed upper east siders, and if you’re lucky maybe one or two actual royalties you are welcomed to the Boathouse.
For me this is the natural brunch place on Sundays whenever I’m in New York. If you like upper class dining and people watching this is the place to be. The views are stunning in the summer time they open up their huge windows towards the pond and you can watch love couple paddling about in the row boats.
Their white linen draped tables accompanied by the live piano player makes the ambiance complete. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is very nice.
You cannot make reservation here so arrive close to opening to prevent having to wait for hours, this place is very popular.
