Di Vino

If you ever happen to be in Bangkok and get an urge for authentic Italian food Di Vino’s the place to go.

Located in the upcoming area; Thonglor, this is a must go when in Bangkok. The restaurant cooks real authentic Italian food and also carry’s a great selection of Italian wines (especially from my favorite wine yard; Ca de Frati). The owner is Italian and superfriendly and have a good memories for his customers, which makes always feel welcome.

My favorite dish here is the lobster pasta (seen in the picture above), but their truffle tortellini is also a strong contender. As far as wines go I have to recommend the Ca de Frati, either their amarone, or their I Frati.

After you have finished an amazing meal you should also check out some of the hip bars in Thonglor, very popular at the moment for thai people in their mid twenties to thirties.

Summary:

  • Food: 5/5

    • Try their Lobster pasta or truffel tortellini

  • Service: 5/5

  • Atmosphere: 5/5

  • Price: $$$$,

Clearly on the higher price bracket in Thailand but well worth it, not comparable to the 2$ food portions from a street cart.

  • Extra points for outstanding things:

    • 1p for always offering a Grappa or Limoncello on the house.

  • Tips and tricks: No reservation needed.

Total 16/15 points which means you need to go here!
